If you have a judgement you could ask the court to appoint a bailiff but more expense & hassle to you. So I'd go with one of the other answerers - speak to a debt collection agency. They will take a percentage but it means you just sit back and let them do the work, no hassle.

If you can find her AND she has any assets, you can get a court order to attach them BUT in these cases, it is rare they have any assets.

Im not sure if its the same everywhere but im in NYC and we would have to call the city mashall and they would garnish their wages/ bank account..

moviebuff
If you have a court judgment against. her. You should be able to get her income tax returns and all of the stimulus checks that we are supposed to get. You might need a one time consult with an attorney, to find out how to do this but in Missouri I know it is done all the time.

with the credit crunch around, not looking good ...man..

You can garnish her wages, possibly seize her car, any bank accounts, etc. Frankly, I'd just sell the note to a collection agency. Let them worry about it.

If she's still on DSS/no job, it's unlikely you'll ever get your money back.

Ed Atun
You can go back and ask the court to "execute" the judgement. THe sheriff will sell off her belongings. She gets to keep 1 tv, 1 sofa, 1 bed. The rest is sold and the money goes to you. It might work. /

schwildcat1977
go thru with the eviction if you have not already and send the amount owed to a collection agency.

NJ. the Gemini
You will have to deal with the DSS. office but why did you let it take so
long to take it to Court, Because of the children you will be having a hard
time but since the office were and still sending there part of the money
then they may not cares about the rest.
What she should do is to go to the office & apply for a one shot deal &
they will reimbursed you the amount of your Bread, She go down town
to her case worker she will steer her in the right way, I use to go true the same thing but now I only rent to people who I know will pay there rent by doing my own checking, and I
check them out like they are getting a Mortgage from a bank. and I
do not have that PROB. any more!.
GOOD LUCK TO YOU. Because of the young ones be calm with them

If shes a single parent ur SOL. Feeding her kid is more important than payin you and that how they see it when if comes to wage garnishment so they won't do it if you are supporting a child
