I am being evicted for no cau.se?
My landlord is trying to come into my property. She did give me a 24 hour notice for a day That i won't be here. If I refuse what will happen?

Eviced means you are removed from the property by a court order, and often your belongings are piled up on the sidewalk. Do you really mean evicted? Something wrong with your story.

If your landlord just wants to access your property for an inspection or some maintenance issue, they have the right to and 24 or 48 hours notice is reasonable, depending on the laws of your state and town.

Tim
From your story you are not being evicted. The landlord has given you 24 hour notice to enter your property. It may be for repairs, estimates for work to be done, an appraisal, who knows.

Everything sounds legit, don't get worried.

If you are paying month to month she can evict you with a thirty day notice for no reason.

smedrik
You are not being evicted, you landlord is requesting to enter your premises for either a routine inspection or repair. It is normal, landlords do this at least once per year.

Classy Granny
It isn't your property, it's hers. She gave you 24 hours notice that she was coming. You can choose to be there, have someone else be there or not. She can still enter. You don't know why she is coming and I don't understand why she didn't tell you, but if you refuse you may find yourself being evicted.

rockbase
it will be in your standard lease that the can inspect the property with notice, which she gave. that has nothing to do with eviction, unless you trashed the place.

The landlord doesn't have have a cause unless there is something in your lease restricting it.

Sounds like no big deal. I'm a landlord and this sounds like a normal, routine inspection. We do that periodically just to make sure there aren't leaks and things that could get real expensive if they aren't fixed. Oh, yeah, we check up on you too but if you haven't trashed the place nothing to worry about.

If you're not there and the landlord gives you the required 24 hours notice (except for emergencies) he/she will just let himself/herself in with their key, perform the inspection and leave.

reenzz
Most states require NO notice to enter. You have been given 24 hours. Kudos to your landlord. Notice does NOT require your permission nor you acceptance. Get a grip...you do not own the property. BTW....It is NOT your property!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
