Why do you ask this question? Think of those who earn barely for the stomach and those without work. You are lucky to have considered a comfortable range of salary. Have consider to those poor people with many mouths to feed, mortgage to pay, school fees and expenses, medical fees. Why not donate to those who are less fortunate! |

I think you are just trying to be a smart bot, bragging or what, that would be about £3,000 GBP if you cant live well on that per month you must have a serious coke Habit. |

How good a salary to live comfortably depends on your life style. If you are spending more than what you earn, you cannot live comfortably. You will always be on your toes trying to make both ends meet. |

Someone went to college and made something out of himself. Good for you. Move to Houston, Texas, and you can live very comfortably. |

Is this net or gross? Is this in Moscow, Russia (if it is, that is really low)? Is this in the Philippines (then it's a really high standard of living)?
What precisely does "live comfortably" mean? Does this mean not have to work for it, just collect a check? Does this mean live like a king? A rock star?
There is too much ambiguity in your question.

Whilst that may seem a crapload of money to most people, really it depends on your lifestyle. I know plenty of people on that kind of salary and more who are basically broke: i.e. they owe so much on their debts that if anything happened tomorrow to their income, there's no way they could pay for any of their life.
Someone once defined wealth as having enough savings to last six months IF all your income suddenly dried up. Without resorting to loans, etc or selling anything off. |

thats about 5 times the individual poverty level, so you should be able to live quite comfortably. |

That's fantastic. Good for you. You don't even want to know what I live on. You are very fortunate. It's a great salary. Good Luck. |

well i make less than 3 grand a month and i live okay so 5800 would be living very comfortably for me. i guess it depends what kind of bills and rent you have to pay, but im pretty sure you will be more than comfortable. |

Not if you are just starting out living alone or if you have a family to support.
The first few years when you have to save for a house down payment and maybe buy things like a car and furniture you can still have a tight budget.
Once you have a home and a good start on retirement savings it will provide a decent living, above the average for the country but far from wealthy. |
