Albuquerque, New Mexico...mountains all around me, capped with snow, 70 degrees today! Four seasons, all are beautiful. Good fishing, skiing, hiking, bike trails, people, restaurants, culture, decent cost of living...the whole package in one spot!

Look me up!

Boise, Idaho the city of trees. There are tons of recreation around here anywhere from riding quads on the sand dunes to taking your boat out on the lake after work. Low crime rate. Houses are cheap and so is renting. But your are definately better off buying a house because you can make alot of money in real estate here. There are plenty of jobs because Idaho is growing so fast. My dad, my aunt, my uncle, my two cousins are all in real estate here and it is the perfect place to move too!

A good place to move to is phenix Arisona. It is very fun and is swarming with good jobs.

Don't move to Cleveland, Ohio. I just moved out of there to North Carolina because of the bad job market there. Its like 100 people applying to get one job. LOL. I'm serious too.
My skills are Tool and Die, Loan Officer and Maintenance. Still can't make decent money there with the unemployment rate and unskilled job openings.

North of Phoenix, Arizona--------------
Carefree or Cavecreek. It is not as dense as the city of Phx.
Also Scottsdale is nice. Why not Payson? East out PHX past Apache Junction the go north east..elevation about 4000 feet. Anything on the Mogollon Rim (geological feature about Arizona that distinguishes the desert from the higher elevations.

I think the best city will be New York or Washington as it is the top 2 cities and if you want a little lower standard then i would prefer Los Angeles.

harvardgal7
OF COURSE!!! NEW YORK CITY OR LOS ANGELES!!! my two favorite cities

Here are some places that I think have great quality of life: (I envy people who live there!):
*** Tampa, Florida
*** St. Petersburg, Florida
*** Charleston, South Carolina (or is it in North Carolina?)
*** Savannah, Georgia
*** San Diego, California
*** San Francisco, California
*** Santa Fe, New Mexico
*** Key West, Florida
*** Austin, Texas
*** Honolulu, Hawaii
*** Sarasota, Florida
*** Seal Beach, California

Good luck with your move.

P.S.: Everyone is different, but Alaska is great to visit. But to live there you really have to be able to deal with a lot of cold weather and dark, dark days. It's true that there are a lot of men in Alaska. But they are kind of woodsy and like to drink a lot of beer.

Las Vegas! Tons of jobs there. Everything is new and clean (unless you are downtown) Also...no state tax there.

I remember when i lived there 5 years ago after getting off the graveyard shift, i would stop at a casino to get a 99 cent steak breakfast.

Anchorage, Alaska. It's beautiful here and good jobs too. If you like the outdoors, you can't beat Alaska! It's also a great place to raise kids. I recommend it highly. E-mail me for pics.
