First of all, DOCUEMENT EVERYTHING. Write down every date and time that this happens and write down what he says or does. This is very important, legally, for you to have 'proof' of what happened.

instead of making a big soap opera about it, file harrasement on him and you can get your deposit back if you gave one and probably get a month free while you look for another place, if you can get a good lawyer you might be able to get more money to help move. |

Sometimes landlords do not own the building, I would find out who owns the building and complain to them. If he is the owner, I would contact the police and ask them whom this sort of behavior should be reported to. There has to be some housing authority over him and he should get in trouble for this. I would stay there but keep looking for something you can afford. I know it will be hard but you can't let him run you off when you are just now getting back on your feet. You need to tell him that you are not interested in him in any way and that you will not tolerate being harassed. He needs to know directly from you that you will not put up with him. Be strong and best wishes!!! |
