Make sure to take pictures of the place and have a witness as to the condition of the apartment. You have 30 days to move out and clean and fix anything you need to in order to get your deposit back. I suggest making full use of it. |

You have done what you need to do.
You can turn in your keys at any time - just make sure you do a walk-through with your landlord first. If you need to clean or anything, do that before the walkthrough.
I always clean between tenants, but that is just me. It helps if it is clean first - less work for me.
Make sure you turn off your utilities also - notify your landlord about this also. Some have the utilities transferred so they can paint, clean carpets, etc. If you are sure you are out, the landlord has time to put an ad in the paper or work on getting a new tenant in. If you have paid, there is no reason for you to stay when you have a new place to live. |

as long as she has the notice and the last month's rent, you are free to move on. |

You're good to leave. |

!!!

1. Once tenant serves 30 day notice the tenant has 30 days to move everything out of the apartment. Then turn in your keys.
2. Have the landlord and you do a walk thru the apartment on your final day. |

Nope, you can go, but ask your landlord if you are responsible for the utilities in that unit for the next 30 days (laws differ by state). And sometimes if you let the landlord know that although you have paid you are going to leave, they will re-rent the unit and you don't have to worry about the utilities. |

No you can move to your new place and use the 30 days to clean and do whatever is necessary to put the old apartment on good order so you can get full return on your security deposit. |

Hiya,
I'm an Agent in Singaproe but think the law applies for all sides...
First thing to do is to always refer to your TA (Tenancy Agreement). If it states you can go after 30 days notice, you can move out before or during the last day that you paid for. Do run things through with your land-lord to ensure that everything is handed back in order (you may wish to use an Inventory List) to get back your security deposit if you have given any.
Some TA will refer to this as a diplomatic clause which you may have to fulfill a MOP (Minimum Occupation Period) which is typically 1 year.
Bottom line is, check your TA and hand over the place while making sure you get the documentation of the handing over. If you or the landlord had used an agent, now is the time to get him/her in to close the case.
Cheers,
VinX |

I doubt you have to stay there but double check. You can find renters rights listed for free on this site:
