Either move out but pay for the remaining months, or pay for the other one for the next 2 months and then move into it. You'll still have to pay for both.

It's 2 months. You can do it. Just think of all the people who have it worse than you have it right now. Be grateful for not being in a worse position and be patient.

you would have to pay for the last 2 months of where you are currently living

Talk to the other apartment complex about holding it for you untill your old lease is up. See what they say.. Cause i know when i was looking for an apartment three months a head of time they asked if we wanted them to hold it,..

Classy Granny
Your landlord may let you out as long as you are so close to the end of your lease. If he doesn't you'll be forced to pay that last two months rent.

ask the owner nicely. it's up to them to let you out or not.

if they can find a new renter to move in early, they will probably let you out early. maybe you can help with that?

it's only two months. don't eat out or go to the movies or buy anything but food and gas, and maybe you can afford to cover double rents for 2 months.

well each state, company and homeowners are different, i know here at our company in nc if someone asked your question we would tell them that its fine and well put if back on the market but until we get new tenets they will have to keep paying there rent. you are in a signed contract for one year, that you said you would abide by. or if your job stations you somewhere else, then you can get out of the contract. you could put a deposit down on the house you want and see how long they will hold it for you (companies are differ about that too)...i hoped that helped a little

YOU CAN'T! You cannot break a lease just because you want to. IF you break your lease you will not only be out a lot of money, but you will not be able to get that great place anyway because most landlords will not rent to someone that broke a lease for no reason.

EDIT: It is typically illegal to sublet as another person sugested. Check with your landlord before subletting to make sure it is allowed.

Aside from asking your landlord to let you out of the lease, which almost never works, the easiest way would probably be to get sub letters to live there for the remaining 2 months left on your lease. It may be hard to find someone responsible to take over your lease on such short notice but it's worth a shot. They would live there assume all the rent and bills as if the place was theirs then when the two months is up they can work something out with the landlord to sign another lease if they want.

Be carefull though because if they do any major damage or don't pay, it's still on you as you are the one legally on the lease.

Good luck.
