READ the notice. Some are 10 days, some are 72 hours, some are 20 or 30 days--different sates, different times of year, different times. YOU OWE your LL lots of rent or you wouldn't be getting the notice. LL can sue you for back rent, garnishee your wages, affect your credit, getting you throw out isn't his only remedy. |

I believe it is within 30 days. They give you 30 days to find a new place to live. Depending on where you are. They give you a month or so. So on September 24th, you need to be out of there.
At least, 30 days is how many days you have to notify your landlord in advance before you leave if you have a month by month rent payment instead of a lease.
Your best bet is to call your landlord to make sure. If you had to have been out by now, the landlord would have checked your apartment and things. Considering that you got that notification over 14 days ago or 2 weeks in advance, I'd guess it's 30 days.
Again though, call your landlord to make sure. And the landlord should have let you know the move out time and date if the notice didn't. |
