They should of let oyu know the house was on the market...check your tenant laws in your state. Go crazy and look for a place....Good luck and I feel for you~ |

Has he served all the relevant notices? You do know that he cannot force you out without a court order (if you wanted to take it that far). |

That happened to me twice. I got a newspaper and found a new place. Really, it's not like you'll be living on the street. Just find another place. It's not that big of a deal. |

if he has already sold it then the purchaser will know that there is a sitting tenant,
his solicitor will know about that anyhow.
your landlord can give you one months notice but that doesn't mean you have to vacate(UK law). don't rely on the local council rehousing you cos they are to busy housing all the illegals that are flooding into UK.
the council will appease their conscience by placing you in a hostel (believe me you don't want that)
the best you can do is to ask your l/lord for a little more time and FIND somewhere that takes pooches.
its not that hard.

contact the council they should be able to house you (depending where you live housing supply) i guess you need to look for somewhere urgently phone places up, look in the paper, shop windows anything, first place is the council office they will tell you where you stand legally as well. |

If you are on a lease, the landlord cannot evict you. In almost every state a tenancy transfers with the sale of the property. |

...and you want us to help you... how???? Landlords have to give tenants notice so you may not have to give up your dog and have time to make other arrangements. Did the landlord just up and tell you to be gone in less than 30 days? Look at your lease and see what termination rights you have. Some states require 30-60 days notice from Landlord to tenant..... |

If you are in the UK you do not have to leave without more notice than this! The landlord has committed an illegal action there pet. In the meantime don't whinge, get your papers together and tootle off to your local council offices. Show them how long you have lived there, and proof of the short notice you have been given. They will have some emergency proviso whereby you will be rehoused very quickly. It may not be the Ritz but it will be a roof over you head., plus you will not have to give up your dog! |

If in the UK, go down to your council office and you will be entitled to emergency accomodation before being re-housed. |

landlords have to give you a months notice...its the law...check your contract with him (UK law that is) |
