GQ69 | I have a tenant, nice person, but she has different men come over almost every night.? |
I know that it is none of my business, but I do have small children and who knows what they are doing. They are quite, but I am worried that neighbors may say something or report me (illegal). But mostly I care about my children.
Almost every night there is a different car outside for her, the men hang out for awhile then leave, nobody ever sleeps over.
Do I say something or just ignore it? |

It sounds like she is a prostitute. You can get into legal trouble since she is having her johns meet her at your house, you have criminal activity going on. I would be worried about CPS reacting when she is caught and taking your kids.
You need to get her out of your house. Even though you may not be her pimp CPS will take the kids first, then figure it all out. |

Ignore it, try to avoid all of you neighbors I know that by personal experience just let it be. |

That is how she pays the rent |

You COULD actually be liable if she is doing "business." You have already admitted to a reasonable suspicion of illegal activity.
I would tell her to move her entertaining (legal or not) elsewhere. If she resists, start taking photos of each car (front aqnd back) showing the license plates. DON'T make a secret of it.
If the car is on the street it's legal. If the car is on your property it's legal. |

As you said, it's really none of your business. If she is a nice person, pays rent on time, and she isn't doing anything illegal to your knowledge I don't think there is anything you can say. |

My dear, I was just reading everyone answer, and most of them is saying to just forget about it. You have children in the home, this person could be selling drug to people, from your home. Do not let your kids see this, thinking it okay for a woman to be jumping in and out of mans car. That's why our kids grow up mess up, because parent are just turning a blind eye. There is a little voices in your head and it is telling you that this is not the right tenant for you, go with that little voice. This woman is surely up to something.. Think about your kids. |

I think you should let it be. Or be the next man, however i do not suggest this. |

maybe you could talk to her about it by starting out with "its none of my business but......." other than that i would probably leave it alone.best of luck to you!! |

It sounds to me that your tenant is a hooker, which incidentally, is illegal. This means your rental is probably being used for business purposes which is also illegal in a residential neighborhood and eventually, some of your neighbors will complain about it.
If she is on a month to month lease, I'd give her 30 days notice. If she is on a yearly lease, I would call the police and explain to them what you suspect may be going on. What they usually will do is pay her a visit, which puts her "on alert" that the cops are watching.

It is your home. It you are uncomfortable, then say something. She may not be the right tenant for you! Good Luck! |
