If you can buy a house with no down, you can't lose. The price goes up every day.

kind of interesting that you are asking if you should buy a house with no money down or if you were thinking of buying a car would you ask the same question or would you try and get it with no money down.

this is probably the single largest investment of your life and of course you should try to buy a house as soon as you can and of course you need to make sure you can afford the payments. dont ever listen to an IDIOT who tells you that you shouldnt do something that can help your entire financial future. and for the ones who say real estate is going down ask them did they say the same thing in the early 1990's when prices were going down and now 105 years later the same house that went down is now worth 300-400% more.

all that being said you should check out www.libertygrant.com and see if you do qualify for a FREE grant for your downpayment and closing costs or you can call me at 1-877-GRANT-100.

good luck

First of all, you CAN'T use a credit card for your down payment...bad advice. With savings accounts paying what they are now (1% or less), you will be forever trying to save. Houses increase in value 10% a year, no better place to put your money! Get a no-down-payment house, there are many programs out there you can qualify for. FHA, State funding, check with your local banks for special programs. Good Luck and Happy Househunting!

Yes it is a good idea, it is a must if you can. The market is normalizing, the real estate has been the best form of investment since the late 30's when they protected property owners from having the notes called due at the banks descretion.

As long as you can 'afford' the house, then do it.

Best of luck,

Depending on where you live and the market of the houses is hot or not. If not, then save first. If the price of the houses skyrocketing, some want to buy right away, some want to wait till it crashes. My opinion is if it is too expensive, then save the money or buy a house somewhere else which is cheaper.

good idea but you will need the deposit and you can get that from a 0% credit card. or try to get a 100% morgage not difficult to find no matter what your credit is like there is always some finance to fit it. keep trying different brokers until you get what you want. Always get a broker that is recomended tried and tested, rather than one out of the blue. Also buy Now rather than later the prices will go up later.

It's always a good idea to save first. When you buy with no money down, you'll pay higher interest rates and your monthly payments will be high. Plus all the money you'll need to purchase things for your house. Owning a home is better than renting but only if you don't take on more than you can handle.
And buying with no money down is taking on more than you can handle.
