Why are you worried? Do you know your credit score? Are you putting money down? As long as he has 2 years employment in the same field, credit score over 580 and the income to support mortgage payment there should be no problem. I am a loan officer and would be happy to answer any additional question my website is below.

yes you can...don't worry

You husband with good credit may qualify without having you on the loan.

reggiewjr1
It depends on your specific situation, but you have not provided a clear enough picture of your scenario. Income, your definition of "awesome", debts, etc will all play factors in any particular lenders decision.

Did you not seek to get pre-qualified and/or pre-approved before you started looking? Have you started the process of submitting a loan appilication yet? With a Banker or a Broker?

Too many questions left unanswered to give you a definitive "yes" or "no"...

I suggest working with a mortgage planner to analyze your situation, needs, and goals immediately if you have not already.

I have never heard of anyone putting in an offer on a house without being approved for the loan first. Your Realtor should know if you qualify and how much you can borrow. What about a down payment?

Maybe you are doing this on your own??? I don't understand. When all the pre qualifying is done first, you have nothing to worry about......................................

You may be able to still qualify.

Here's a more in-depth article than there is space for here.

On the other hand, make certain your realtor puts your offer in "contingent" upon the loan.
