I have really bad credit, and i need a place to live in the metro area?

Many places will rent if you have a big deposit, like first and last months rent plus a security. Some have no credit check if you can pay that much up front.

I suggest a quite street and a cardboard box. If you can't stomach that, then go to Craigslist and look for someone looking for a roomate. Start working on your credit ASAP. How do you get your credit worked on.... that's another question.

deejayspop
look in the paper for someone renting without a credit check, usually they will say so in the ad if they check your credit.

Hello Cutie,

Ouch, this is gonna hurt...
Look for a place that has been vacant for a long time because the asking rent is too high for the area.
Bite the bullet and take it.

*(they'll probably take you even with your bad credit since no one else is willing to pay their price)

Then fix your credit and look for a better place next year.

THere is a place called JP Allen, they rent to people regardless of credit, they are in Dallas, TX and LA, CA area.

ALso, If you can stay with someone and save up like 6 months worth rent, then move to a place that is being rented by the owner, you can explain your situation, but offer them the $$$ as a large security deposit.

As a last effort, there are places that let u use corporate credit to find a rental unit, but they are expensive plus you pay them a premium...places like BenneriC Inc.

Milton Fung
I would suggest craigslist for roommates as they are less likely to ask for a credit report. Forget trying to get your own place, unless the landlord is a fool.
