Write down every contact that you have had with the landlord discussing this problem. Than put something in writing stating the problem, and how many times you have contacted him/her and nothing has been done about it and that you will give him x amount of days or you will abate the rent and certify mail it. Read the lease. Take pictures, take notes where they are and how discusting they are. If you have to go to court everything will hold up as stated above. If you don't have a lease, you are on a month to month lease and either or can terminate. Also, if you live in an apartment you have to have the whole building fumigated because they will come back. And do me a favor ask the landlord is the roaches are gonna pay the rent!!! |

the very easy way to get your money back is to call the dept. of health and make a complaint against her Immediately . make copies of all paper work . in fact there is a book in titled Renters Rights , the Dos and Dont's of the landlord are listed and problem solving Is listed as well and where to go and resolve the problem. |

Report him to the health dept. File a small claims law suit. Check with Dept of Housing and Urban Development in regards to your rights. If need be check with an attorney as well. He could advise you further. Roaches and pests are a major health concern and it is his responsibility to clean them up. Good Luck. |
