You are confusing with US market which has dropped significantly. UK market OK at present but a bit stagnant.

snetterton
No it is NOT true. House price inflation is slowing - which in layman's terms means that prices are still rising but not as fast as they were.

astonite40
No, it has not crashed, but i am afraid it is going to.

It has dropped slightly and is continuing to do so very very slowly but not by a significant amount and I doubt that it will be a trend for long.

No not at all. Prices are still on the up. The rose 10% last year and are due to rise 6% this year so there has beena slow but certainly no decline. If you are looking to invest then prices are due to rise in BRADFORD more than any other area in the country. This is due to the regeneration of the city that is already underway.

PS: Interest rates are also likely to drop half way through next year which will see an increase in home buying and will no doub put the house prices up again!

We are on our way......
I expect by this time next year house prices will be around 15-25% below what they are now (so if you buy now you will be looking at a negative equity this time next year).
DON'T listen to estate agents....it is in their interest to talk the market up.....
