Report it first. Management usually just inform the other party that they are making too much noise and that other tenents are complaining. They usually will not reveal who is complaining. Plus, management has the option of eviction if enough complaints are received against the other party. Chances are, you aren't the only ones they are disturbing. If the problem is not resolved shortly after, then you always have the option of moving. Good luck with it. |

You should approach your neighbor in a nice way and explain the situation. Make sure you say things about how great her kids are before you start with the criticism so she doesn't take it personally and get mad. Some people are just really loud and have heavy footsteps, and they think the rest of the world is like them.
If they don't get quieter, go to your building manager. You have the right to quiet enjoyment more than their kids have a right to run around indoors. |

Hey ask from her, that what kind of work is doing by his husband. They can do it without any noise also.
And another solution is if they are throwing stones in yr way, then u can through iron in his/her way. I think it will be better option for these kind of bloody people. |

Well, during the day, I think it's a given that a family with kids will be noisy. I mean, if they are consistently making a LOT of noise, that's another thing... As for the night, I can see being a little noisy up until like 9 or 10pm, but once it get's past that, it's rude. Think of it this way. First, WHAT is making the noise. If it is music or something, of course they can turn that down. But if it's kids crying, there's only so much a parent can do to stop the crying. And anyway, they actually say that letting a child cry it out in their rooms (ex. when they are put to bed) teaches them independence. So you can't really do much about kids crying.
If it really bothers you, I would just contact management and say that you want to make sure that they (management) are aware of the problems you are having. Maybe a gentle reminder to the people above you would bring it to their attention? And I would ask that you remain anonymous (so they don't say "the people under you are annoyed...") They may take it personally and retaliate, then. Or who knows, they may make more noise because they are mad!
Also, I would check into your apartment complex regulations or ordinances. There may be some kind of noise violation? You could always check into that with management?
If worse comes to worse, invest in a good pair of earplugs or a nice headset! :) I personally find that the drone of a fan blocks out noise for me, as well as a sound machine. You could always try these things out?
GOOD LUCK!! |

I had the same problem, so we went and knocked on their door and ask them to calm down, they did for a few days but went right back to what they were doing so I would talk to the management about having them resolve the problem, it's there job anyway. |

I have the identical problem. I tried talking to them politely. But they simply denied making any noise. God knows what prompts them to shift furniture in the dead of the night, every night or bang the floor for no apparent reason. Persistent problem with no apparent solution. |

This is the very reason I prefer living on the top floor. If you complain two things can happen. They can either be nice (not likely) or they can make it worse. The responsible thing to do is to approach them, be nice, and kindly explain your situation. If they do whats right and attempt to be quieter then great. If not There is very little you can do. No laws really about normal noise in the middle of the day. late at night there is the police but only call them after you exhaust all other civilized means to deal with them. |
