I know it is hard to do but look into Social Services. Salvation Army, Red Cross, Department of Human Services in your area, try this website http://www.211.org/, call local food banks for food.
If you can't move in with family or a friend look for a roommate to help you.
2-1-1
If you are looking to get help or give help, please use the 2-1-1 information and referral search tool to locate the 2-1-1 information and referral call center that serves your area. Each 2-1-1 is individually run and each maintains their own databases of community resources. |

UMM HELLO!? Pray to Obama!! He is the answer to everyone's struggles, isn't he?
Haha sorry, that wasn't funny...I would just suggest to continue job searching!! Don't allow the government to take care and baby you. Get out and find employment...I can guarantee they will hire you somewhere. Perhaps you need to lower your standards? Just try different places...even if it's at McDonald's flipping burgers! Good luck though!
Hope that helped!! :) |

Pay your rent first! The car company usually can wait, call them and tell them about your hardship. Seek government assistance for food and utilities. Pray and be calm, you will find work. |

Call all your creditors and see if any of them are willing to make payment arrangements with you.
I know most utilities will work with you. Car and rent may be a problem, but it can't hurt to try.
Is there any family/friends you can borrow money from for the time being??
Good luck and hang in there :) |

Apply for unemployment. If you can't make the car payment, I think that the car has to go. If you can't make rent and pay for your utilities, the apartment has to go. Really consider cutting back on everything. Good luck. |

You have the option to defer a car payment. All you have to do is call the finance company. Utilities can go a month or two until they get shut off, but you should at least call the companies and tell them your situation and make a logical payment arrangement. Time to pull the old belt in & decide what is necessary and what you can live without. I know this, cuz I'm there. There's a lot of us "there" these days. I wish you well. |

Did you file for unemployment that is some help. Cap payment is due but there is usually a grace period they are not coming for the car until you are a few months behind. Call the car loan place and see if you can get a forbearance or deferment on it for a couple of months because of your situation, most places will work with you. |

if it that bad then get a job as a housekeeper. its kinda low money but when it comes down to it its a job. if not then if renting let it go an move in with family. for the car if it comes down to it, you can pay half the payment to have it moved to the end of the term. go to usa.gov they have a link to view credit for free. then somehow CCard co start sending you applications. i did an my credit was just 450 or so. bank of america then gave a cc for 7500 limit after i filled out their app they sent. but you have to reply to their applications they send you, not look for them. strange. |

Always pay the bills that keep the roof over your head and the lights on first. Work a bunch of part time jobs if you have to. Why is every one looking for a hand out? (unemployment, family, loans) Once you've learned to depend on yourself (yes, you can do it) you'll realize that you won't want to depend on any one else any more. Good luck and keep your nose to the grind stone. |

Make the car payment. The bank is more heartless than a landlord or utility company. You can hold off another month for rent and a couple months for utilities before they start really bugging you. Try to get a job, any job, quickly. Then, you can look for a job that you really want while you are working somewhere else. |

Over and Over

Alot of banks are willing to lower your payments for a temporary time period, or stop payment for an amount of time just avoid being stuck with the debt. You should call around and explain your situation to your lenders and see if they will work with you, the worst that can happen is them tell you no.
And I suppose that if no one is willing to work with you you can pay your utilities and rent and let your car go. They will actually let you keep the car for a month or two before they send the repo, and by then you might hopefully have a job.
And also, have you signed up for unemployment for the time that you are not working? They will at least provide you with some money so you might be able to keep your car and your house.
Good luck, I know what you are going through, Im in the same type of situation. Ive been laid off for over a month now but I might get back to work in about 3 weeks...maybe. The only difference is that in my situation I have a boyfriend that is willing to take over the bills while I am without money. |

pay your rent if you can, let them take the car, contact the utility companies, they will be able to work something out for you....can you take in a lodger to reduce your bills? Can you move to a cheaper place or share? Or you could always walk away....life is too short and necessity breeds invention....always works for me... |

As far as utilities go, you can call the utility company and tell them you need a payment plan. In many states in the US its illegal for them to shut off your power during the winter months for nonpayment. If you lose the car and they take it away, the bad credit you will get from that might keep you from getting another job (some potential employers will do a credit check on you). Pay the car first. Then, talk to your landlord and tell them youre in a bind and beg for an extension (many places can't evict you for a certain amount of time after you stop paying rent - check your local laws). If worse comes to worse you can sell your computer and cancel your internet connection, and give that money to the landlord to hold them over. |

with this bad economy, i dont think it would be a good time for hiring. you should probably stay with a family member, or someone you know. Or, get any job you can (yes, any) and stay at a cheap hotel. |

I don't want to sound like a dick, but its because of people like you who caused this financial crisis.
You should have saved for contingencies... But, in all fairness, I think you should declare bankruptcy. You can't pay, and need protection from your creditors. |

you need to see if you can take out a loan, but on the other hand that is adding another bill at high interest... pay your minimum payment on each if you can :( |
