i would definitely recommend ocala, florida. it has some of the most beautiful horse farms (estates) i've seen with their rolling hills. Currently prices are still reasonable for housing, but don't expect that to last forever as it is also ranked as one of the top fastest growing cities in the united states. and the weather? the finest. Its very clean and modern and has entertainment for everyone no matter their age. It is close to Gainsville, where the teaching hospital is and not too long of a drive to Orlando or Daytona Beach if you want to get away. Florida is a great state all over but right now, Ocala is where it is happening

Try Reunion Island, it's part of the EU; France actually but it is in the Indian Ocean. Only problem is you may get a volcanic eruption every now and then.

Come to San Antonio. It will be hotter than you asked for, but the rest of your request will be filled.

I moved here from NW Indiana about 14 years ago and I love it here. The coast is just a few hours away, as is Mexico. And the people here are super friendly. Be careful though, they cannot drive.

Isn't this a bit of an oxymoron - cheap homes but no poverty?

Southerm Missouri would probably work for you, of course, although the winters can get a bit cold.

San Antonio, TX....You'll have to deal with the crime, like any large city, but it is cheap as hell to live there, and there's always something to do...

you should check out San Bernadino County in SoCal. Right now we're looking at thanksgiving with a temperature of about 85 degrees with lows dipping into the 50's. We normally have Christmas at about 75 degrees.

Being in SoCal the housing isn't very cheap, but San Bernadino is beautiful with a fairly low crime rate. Good luck finding a place with all those items.

houston texas! It can be a little hotter than 85 degrees in the summer but it sure beats being cold...
plus property values are increasing nicely over there.

I live in Seattle now, I definately wouldnt recommend that. But I lived in Wisconsin for a good while. Sauk Prairie, just north of Madison would be perfect for you. The winters aren't horrible and the surrounding area is excellent. Definately low crime and Madison is a fun area to party. If you like hiking and outdoors activities...there are alot of glacial lakes and beautiful parks.
