Heck a lot of people dont have credit now. They have to rent to someone. Just keep trying and tell the people the situation if they ask.

What you need to do is have a relative sign you up for an apartment of find someone thru word of mouth to rent you an efficiency, remember to rent something within your means. The best step to start your financial freedom is to have a budget and to live below your means. I can recomend you the book The Total Money Makeover, by Dave Ramsey it will inspire you to become the person you want to be debt free and wealthy. good luck. if you don't like to read you can listen online at his website.

yes there are but they may require to pay in advance or give a bigger deposit. also theres section 42 they seem to be less picky as well but you have to meet their income requirements.
best thing before you apply ask the management for their qualifcation requirements.

dont think so i have the same problem

My suggestion would be to expand your search for an apartment, away from the complexes.
Look for a duplex. Many times duplexes are the same price!

I have never ever had to fill out an application where an apt. complex will check my credit report. I refuse to pay them that fee, and have them ding my credit report.

There are too many landlords who do not check credit reports. They are individuals who have a few pieces of property they rent out.

Look in the paper. Don't ask about a credit check, just go check the place out, and if you like it, see what the landlord requires. If he mentions credit check, run away and keep looking.
Good luck.
