Contact your local housing authority, the salvation army, catholic family charities, and the public assistance office to see if they have any organizations that will help pay your rent. Also, call your landlord now and let them know the situation and what is going on. It always helps to be upfront with them, and if they know the situation they can offer you suggestions as well. |

You need to contact social services or your family.
The rest of us with spare cash have our own relatives to look after.
Since your business went under get a real job. McDonalds pays 10 a hour to start.
As a landlord.....talk to your landlord, see if they can either wait or maybe try labor in exchange. I recently traded full house painting for 4 months no-rent to a family in exactly the same situation as you. I saved money and he has 4 months to get his situation straightened out.
Good luck. |

I wish I had a magic wand to help you. I am in California and people all around me are losing their homes, getting laid off, having their businesses go under.... even myself am struggling to take care of my own family and my husband's. Times are tough and many people do not realize just how poor the economy is getting... eventually enough people will be out of work it will have a trickle down effect and everyone is going to be struggling.
Have you tried family, local charities, getting any job even if just to get you through another month?
I wish you the best. |

you wouldn't be scammer would you?
Ok got your mail. Try selling what you can, see if you can get a co-signer to back a loan, appeal to any and all relatives. Let go of what you don't need. I manage to get by and have a small child so I can't help. |

You can't possibly be serious! I am so surprised that they let your question get through. Do you really think people will send you money? In the unlikely event they do, please post it for all of us out here that are having financial problems. Of course, Yahoo would need to get a separate website because it would be so full! Olivia gave you (in my opinion) the best advice. These public servants don't require repayment, either. Suggestion: Take the family camping with the $400, get a job and save up for another apartment. How long have you know you couldn't pay the bills this month? Just two days before the rent was due? (NO!) |

I'd give you a helping hand but I'm afraid my last tenant took it with them, instead of taking their garage full of crap!
My Tenant was in the same situation last October but luckily
I was able to sell my pickup very quickly so I could pay my mortgage so that we both weren't out on the street .
This wonderful "family" ,who," just needed a second chance after some bad luck" repaid my kindness and charity by leaving us more little gifts in the form of 4 months unpaid utility bills (Please!!!! They won't put the bill in our name without a "big security deposit,,,please!!!) and they also managed to do thousands of dollars of damage to a freshly renovated house in the brief 4 months they lived there (It was either them or our sheriff's who made it a regular stop of theirs. Her back up plan, was instead of actually going out and getting a job,(Because she " couldn't afford to pay for daycare!" was to take in other people's children and start an unlicensed day care service on my property (No extra liability for yours truly there!) unfortunately for her, that plan did not actually involve paying me any of the rent money.
I did finally manage to throw the mother and her 6 year old daughter out into the cold winter night just before Christmas (Better them than me!)
If you don't have any money to pay rent where you gonna get the money to pay back the loan?
Boy, I miss my pickup!.
Epilog: Mother was arrested for stealing all the Girl Scout
Cookie Money from her daughter's GirlScout (Brownie?)troop
(and I made darn sure the repo man found her 2006 Pontiac, when he came looking for it!) |
