Can you afford a 100,000 condo? No.
Rent first. It sounds like you aren't in the best of situations to buy a condo right now.
Look around at apartments near your school, and don't be afraid to go a little lower than you like. To save money, forgo internet and TV, and maybe even a phone. You don't need a top-end place right now. You'll only need to be there for a year or so. |

Maybe you can pay for the condo but you wouldn't have much left to pay the condo fees, electricity bill, water bill, phone, groceries, car, gasoline, etc,........
Draw your numbers the other way around: start by deducting from your pay all the extras that entail this condo and whatever is left is what you will have to pay the mortgage or rent of wherever you choose.
Can't you find another student as a roommate to share the bills? That's another way to help...... |

They do have low-income apartments by the government. Look into it. They don't require much of a down payment either. It is specifically for low-income families. Do you have any children? If your in a unhealthy relationship can you stay with a friend until you can save some $$$. Sharing a room maybe a great way to save money and not be in a healthy relationship. You'd also get a chance to meet some really interesting people out there. You can screen your roommates just as they screen you. Good luck honey. I make more than that and I can't afford a $100,000 condo. There are association fees and your rent would take 85% of your earnings. Unless you want to get another job nothing is impossible. You can do it its just a matter of how bad do you want it? |

Post a note on the bulletin board at the hospital where you are working. You might be surprise that someone else could be looking for a roommate. Living and working close by will save you time and money.
These days is it pretty hard to find honest and straight up people. |

If you live in Missouri you can get a 1bdrm for 450. But I do not know where you are. Look for roommates online in your area. Splitting your bills in half would help alot.
The condo depends on your credit rating. Sorry, I suggest finding a roommate. Who knows you could also meet a new friend at the same time. |

honestly... $100,000 is out of the question on $1200 a month... You need to move somewhere where you will have roommates because you could not make it on your own most places. |

Why not try looking into buying a mobile home, you can usually buy one with little if not no down payment and you could probably afford it on 1200 a month. Sit down and make out a budget and see what you can afford for house payment, utilities etc. Once you get out of nursing school you could sell and buy something else. You would at least not be throwing your money away on rent on a house or apartment or condo. Nor can you afford to buy a house or condo on 1200 a month.
You cannot afford a 100,000 condo on 1200 a month. But after nursing school, yes. Think logically and be frugal until you are out of school and have a well paying job. It is only a short period in your life.
You could also think about getting a room mate if you have 2 or more bedrooms to help you make your payments.
It would be less stressful for you while you are in school to not have to worry about being in an unhealthy relationship or living above your means. This is your future you are working toward. |

I would say its pretty hard to find a place and make it on $1200 a month. Unless there is some section 8 housing near where you live.
Otherwise you should start roommate searching.
Some places near colleges are like 1 big apartment w/ 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Its a roommate situation where you don't really get much choice who you live with but the rent is cheap and they are very student friendly. |

Well, you can probably get one of those studio apartments somewhere for about 600 a month, I don't know where you are so I can't say. But ask around and consider renting a room in someone's house if they have an extra room. They might give you a really good deal. The condo? Well, I guess if you meet and marry a really rich guy somewhere. I don't know about that it seems a bit out of your price range. Just a little bit. |

1200 a month might rent you a small apartment until you can get on your feet. I rent aone bedroom and water and rent is 625 and electric is only about 50. You are gonn have to watch your spending though. Hope all works out. |
