Tell him that you would like to try out living alone and that you both know you don't get along so you think it's best that he start finding a new place to live. If he is a real prick and says no, he's not leaving, that's when you get the police, since there were to legal documents signed for him to live there, the bottom line is it's your house. you decided who stays and who goes. |

Legally I don't think you need to give notice. But you should remember that sometimes things we do come back to bite us in the butt. What happens if the person you kick out without notice shows up to be in charge of hiring at a company you want to work for someday? Treat others how you would like to be treated.
You know, the money your roommate has given to you is income that should be included on your taxes! If you aren't planning to report this you might want to be at least courteous. Would it hurt to help the person find a nice place to live? Don't leave things badly. |

you know....it is easy to get a roommate but it can be hard to get rid of them. i suggest give him 30 days notice. Since, he is living with you, you may have to pay for him to leave, like a security deposit and possibly 1st months rent. Why? no documents signed and he may use that he can't find a place to live or money is tight excuse. |

I am not an attorney but I would say you don't have to have an eviction notice. A friendly you have to go and make sure you don't owe him any money. lol seriously. If he refuses to leave, well then when all else fails call the police. good luck! |

Call your local Sheriff's Dept. and ask them what steps you need to take. They'll be able to inform you of your rights, etc.

You have a verbal month to month lease. You can not just kick them out if they are paying rent. I think its a two week notice to find another place. I'm positive you can't just kick them out. I have been a couple of these situation you don't want to do it. Good Luck!! Hope I Helped!! |

As long as there were no contracts or leases signed, and it's your house, you can request that he pack his things and vacate the premises. If he gives you any trouble, call the police and they are usually really good about escorting undesirables away from property....and you may consider some kind of restraining order to keep him from returning. Then you would be wise to change all of the locks. Is he paying any sort of rent? If so, you may have to either give him a refund or allow him to stay until the month that he's paid for is up. If worse comes to worse, you can go ahead and get an eviction notice, but as I said, it's probably not necessary. Just don't allow him to bully you! |
