I own my own condo. I am going to be travelling abroad?
I own my own condo. Lovely condo. All mine. Right by the lake. I will be travelling for a few months, back to my country. Some people will be coming into redecorate, and a co-worker coming in a couple of nights a week to work on my computer. Question: Do I need to let my Property Management Office know?

eightmandu
You need to check in on the rules of your Association. The office has no authority over what you do, they are your employee(s). The Board is the immediate authority, and acts on behalf of the Association, of which you are a part.

In my Association you're required to inform the Association (through the Office) when you will be renting the property, or if there will be new vehicles registered.

You may have noise issues, for which you are responsible and may be fined if your "guests" don't respect them. Also, you may be exceeding your parking quota (my Association allows 2 registered vehicles) though guest parking allows any vehicles for less than two days, without routine frequency.

Again, check with the regulations of your Association as they vary.

It might be wise. If you are going to be gone for that long a period it would be wise to let them know so they can keep an eye out for you. Also, they can help make sure your interior designers stay professional and if anyone who isn't supposed to be there (people posing as a co-worker or decorators) is removed.

I would let them know just in case thy think something suspicious is going on . So they won't call the police .

as for PMO knowing - no but is to ur advantage.
as for friend , give a notorized statement to them so in case of any legal/police/PMO challenges they have proof of access.
as for mail ,get a service tohold and review ur mail during time of there so if PMO wants to do some thing u'll know.
make sure insurances are prepaid.
have water turned off . burst pipe will cost u thousands.

I would let them know. Simply because you would like them to keep a watchful eye your property while you are gone. I would let them know who is to be on your property, and on approximately what days.

You should just so that they don't jump the gun and call the police. It's just a courtesy, though, you aren't obligated to do so.

lila
You probably should becuase the he won't be all worried and if anything goes wrong he'll know what happened and who did it and stuff like that.
