Loophole? No. Of course not. You have a contract with the landlord, just like you will soon enter into a contract with your Marine. There is no loophole for ending contracts, you need to end them in a court room.
Your only option is to make some sort of deal with the landlord. Paying 2 months rent is the standard deal to end a lease early. |

Depends on the landlord. Ask if you can exit he lease if you find someone who will take it over immediately, and put an add out to find someone. |

Chris has NO idea what they are talking about. I have been an Army wife for 15 years and have lived all over the world...Getting married isnt a legal reason to break a lease..it doesnt matter if they are military or not. If he were on the lease and deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan then he could break it or if he PCSed and your lease (that includes his name on it) has a military clause in it. At the best you will loose your deposit , they can hold you responsible for the remainder of the months |

The signed lease agreement is binding to both parties. You cannot get out of the lease for free. Why don't you speak with the landlord?
Good luck! |

well you could try seeing if the landlord has a military clause in the lease, but I doubt it unless you asked for it.
Other then that, explain your situation and give the landlord plenty of time to move new people in so he won't be losing cash. |

Each state enacts its own laws about under what conditions a lease may be broken without penalty. Where I live (NY), marriage to someone, no matter who it may be, does not get you out of a lease. Your new husband being called to active duty doesn't matter--unless it's *his* lease.
Landlords usually aren't entirely closed to making some kind of arrangement. Tenants have good reasons to move all the time. Maybe he/they would settle for one month's rent after the month you vacate, plus the place in pristine condition, so they have a month to re-rent it and it'll go quickly.( And maybe they won't.)
What you do is contact them with a firm date on which you'd like your lease to end and inquire if there is any mutually agreeable way to make that happen. |

See if the landlord would let you sub-let to someone else.
Otherwise, yes, you'll be stuck paying.
If you plant to leave anyway, see if your landlord can offer it up for rent now - and then you'll only have to pay until someone else moves in. Might be better than the whole 7 months. |

Sometimes they will let you do a buy-out on your lease it's less than you would have to pay otherwise, they may just let you go it depends on your landlord. |

I know that someone in the military who is called up and has to break their lease doesn't get penalized. Talk to your fiancee's commanding officer and ask if there is some sort of thing like that for military spouses. |

No, you have to pay unless the landlord agrees. You signed a lease. It is a binding contract. |

you cannot get out of your lease cause the military clause does not apply to you or it would have been stated in your lease |

Not sure what all your options are, but it can't hurt to ask if the landlord would give you a Patriotic Discount, and let you out of it to go marry your soldier.
Best wishes. |

The 'military option' does not apply to you, since YOU aren't military. Your husband-to-be is military, and he isn't the one moving. You can speak to your landlord to see if he will cut you some sort of deal for early termination. It's his call. |

Talk to your landlord. I had to break a lease when I was only two months into it! I told my landlord that I had to move due to job relocation. I had to pay for the next month, and lost my deposit. They actually were very nice about the whole thing. I had to agree to show the place to new potential renters -- and they had it rented to someone else two days after I was moved out.
It was better than having to pay out the entire 12 months.
Good luck and congratulations on your wedding! |

If you get married you can show the landlord that your husband was called for duty, and you have to go to. It automatically puts you out of a lease due to it being military, nothing the apartment complex can do about it either. So you are in!!! enjoy |

Most of the time, (it works with army couples) they will let you out of your lease early. but im not sure how to go about with all of the technical stuff |
