IF YOU OWNED A POOL, and someone left a baggy on your door and inside of it there were:?
An advertisement with a few coupons for the company pool service, an interesting monthly newsletter attached, and a complimentary beach ball with the company logo on it, would you:

A. = Dig inside to see what the goodies are and possibly call for more info?

B. = Throw it out and consider it garbage

C. = Fill in the Blank

Thanks, I am planning on opening a pool company and want to see if these extra's would actually help pick up new customers.

It is either this, or just send out the plain old letter in the mail, which would still include the ad, and a newsletter. Thanks : )

A I think...

Reasons: You gave me a beach ball, you took the time to try a business, and you are clever in your marketing methods.

I'd give you a "go".

good luck!!

A. It is a numbers game, but the response to your idea would be far superior to that of a blnd mailer or card. I say go for it. Very creative.

People will keep the ball.

You should have your logo and telephone number printed on it.

jeanniep
i think now adays you might be hurting for business i would pick B

alot of people are doing what they can even the ones with pools
they are taking care of yards and pools themselves to save $$$

I don't have a pool, so I initially thought I would immediately throw it away. However, then I realized, if it was info about spas (which I do own) I would definitely check it out. So I'd have to say yeah, it would be something I'd check if I did own a pool. If it had something endearing, or some new treatment that I might not be aware of, something like that, I'd be even more inclined to try out the company.

Mr Blobby
I do own a pool and I would dig inside and see what is in it

I would go through it.

Cece
use the beachball, and use the same method

Yahoo Makes Me Mad
I would go thru it.

Most people would, but would probably throw it out after they rifled thru it.

I'm not swayed by things like beach balls, but probably A. We have a pool, and we at least look at whatever comes, since around here you have to call 5 months in advance to have someone come out to look at the pool. I would only call if it looked like there was a knowledgeable staff, without exorbitant prices (but the price isn't that big of a factor).

Jimmy C
Make sure you put your phone number on the ball. Most people would keep the ball and throw out the rest. One day when they want pool service, they still have your number.
