IS 2% Fixed interest over 30 years a good rate for a home loan?
I got this offer in my email box the other day from http://get-a-home-loan.net Is this a good deal for a home loan?

MissKathleen
It's definitely too good to be true. It's probably spam. My interest rate is 6.7 percent. I thought that was good. Be very careful to read the fine print on that loan application...)(

Maybe they mean 2 % over prime, which still wouldn't be bad. But I'd be leary of a scam. Read all fine print, before you send any money.

JustAHelpfulGuy
Yes, this is awesome, but I would be VERY VERY skeptical about it being real. Market average for a 30 year fixed is at 6.2%. Thats such a big different, that I can't believe it's true or it's some sort of scam.

Kevin B
No. Its a scam and you're part of it. I'm sure you get paid when someone clicks that link. Your "advertisement" here is dispicable.

People, don't believe ANYONE who tells you they can get you a fixed rate for less than 5%. The ONLY way its even possible is if you pay for that rate out of your pocket and you still can't get down to 2%.

It's a dream. Let it go.

Have Some Whine
Yes - but check the fine print. Make sure it's not a baloon loan, or has any other variable component to it. There may be other restrictions (qualification restrictions like credit score, location restrictions, down payment restrictions, etc.)

It's too good. Be careful.

Kevin B is correct. You are part of this scam. How lame.

Sorry, but that rate is unheard of. It is more than likely a phishing scam for an identity theft. It is too good to be true, so it is probably a scam. Don't respond to the e-mail.

There is no such a thing as 2% fixed on 30 year fixed. This guy is spamming. You have been reported pal.

Sounds good to me But really speaking who could afford to lend someone money at 2% and make a profit read the small print first
