If I get evicted or break my lease in my state, ?
Will it show up if i move to another state to rent?
Additional Details
It may not go on my credit report. I have an eviction on my record, but it only shows up through the city records. It is no where on my credit report.

There ids a section of the credit report for public notices. Public notices are basically judgments against you. This is the area where it will be seen that you have an eviction.

Eviction will go on your credit report. That is nationwide. If you break your lease and pay any amounts due, it does not go on credit report

Even if the eviction is not on your credit report - it DOES NOT mean that they will not find out.

There are agencies and websites that landlords have access to that we can search for evictions in other states.

NEVER lie on an application or try to hide anything because the landlord WILL deny you when they find out.

I Buy And Sell Houses
It will if the landlord reports it to any of the credit bureaus. (Most do; some don't.) Also, though, when you move to another state to rent, it's likely the landlord there will ask for your previous addresses. And, trust me, most of them check on that.

So, while it's not 100% certain that your bad rental history will show up if you move (and really, it doesn't matter whether it's in-state or out-of-state), the odds are pretty good (maybe around 80%) that your new landlord will uncover your eviction or breaking of the lease.

And if it is reported to a credit bureau, that'll affect your entire credit report. That means you might not be able to get a credit card, or to buy a car, or get a loan. Or, if you do, it'll be for much less favorable terms.

So: Don't get evicted. Don't break your lease.

Natalia
It could. If it goes on your credit report and the new place does a credit check. You will have a record as owing money to the apartment community.

Yes it will. It'll go on your credit and your credit report follows you no matter where you go.

Evictions are public court records.

Landlords can find this info either through credit reports, court records searches or background checks.

If an applicant lies about an eviction on an application, generally, it is an automatic denial.

You may have been lucky with the prior eviction...but who's to say that this one won't show up on your credit report.

You sound like a real winner.

God bless your next landlord.
