The property taxes are usually figured into the rent you get charged so in essence you are paying the taxes. It is very unusual for any one to charge you, the renter, separately. Check your lease agreement. If it isn't in writing, then no.

I own rental properties and as the owner I am responsible for the taxes.
Unless the rental agreement specifically says you must pay the taxes, typically the renter does not. |
