If a person is a top contributor in yahoo answers does it mean they have a lot of time with no real life?

mannliz
YES CAN I HAVE YOURS PLEASE.?

Hallie
Sometimes the heart of a lion is really a kitten who just needs to be reminded they are special...so let me assure you that all top contributors have lives and one day when you reach that status you will have a life as well!

Ricky
No, it means they like to help people in there spare time instead of watching tv or playing games.

beautifulAngel
im not always on here , i have a life almost done with 3 classes for the summer semester ! yet i do come on here when i need to ask something and answer a few ! and i made it to the second level

Not necessarily, if someone participates for a short time on a regular basis as opposed to stationing oneself in front of the computer 24/7. Speaking for myself, I'm so busy I can't believe how fast days turn into weeks, then months, etc.

It is a good feeling to be able to use one's office experience to help someone else.

Maybe, but it might also mean that the person just really likes to help others in their free time. There's something very satisfying about being able to aid a stranger simply by sharing a bit of knowledge you have that they may not.

Mel
haha maybe or maybe they spend 15 min a day and have had it for a long time. its just a thought i spend more than 15 min a day because i dont go to school or have a job so i guess i dont have a life. bummer.

Not true in my case. I have a family and a very active real estate business because I specialize in helping people in foreclosure.

The reason I like to contribute here is because I like to see what today's buyer and seller are asking about and are concerned about. I also like to help people as much as possible and that's why I like my job, because I get paid to help people. Some of my business even comes from here because I answered someone's question 7 months ago and now my local client has the same issue and wants to use me to help them.

If someone has 560 answers and only 64 best does that mean they give crappy answers???

seba
this means that either they got nothin to do or their really curious and at the same time know a lot of thing. or maybe they've been on for like 5 years

a real life yes. A lot of time no.

I am not a top contributor but find it quite cathartic to answer questions I know about. I find that a bunch of top contributors answer anything that comes their way whether they know about the subject or not. They don't care. Kind of like a gal on here called redpeaches. She is an idiot but is a top contributor.

Yes it does

sometimes. It can also mean they're bored at work too. But realistically they have two profiles. They just ask a question and answer it and vote their other profile for best answer. It's called padding stats.

I have read alot of the top contributers answears, most do not know what there talking about. mabbe you are right.

DrinkinBuddy
um.... yes. i just started answering questions, answered about five so far. seems to me that everyone worries about someone else, even over someone on the internet. wow. it's ok tho. everyone needs a hobby.

saginawcomic
Unless they get paid for answering all those questions, then yes they must not have much of a real life, that's a lot of time dedidcated to something. But I guess this is their life.

But helping people with questions is admirable. So more power to em.

Amy S
Seems like it to me.

pa3ck
we can say that...i guess they spend too much time in front of their computers and when they go to work, they use the company computer to answer questions of random people...

realtor101
I really don't think so... I'm new but I've got outstanding feed back and answers to my questions. Some people like to help and share ideas which should be appreciated. I am busy but I take few minutes to ask, answer and go through the answers of the questions that caught my eyes. Love it and learning a lot. Let's keep the momentum.

Cheers

Look up the person's profile. Maybe you can email or IM.

It would seem so to me. I have no life and I'm already on level 4

You would think so...

Could be. However, most people can answer their limits in a half an hour. Thats not unreasonable. If you're really high up its your choice. They could be but probably not. Most people have lives.

dancer
um, yes... or they just get bored a lot

Shrikant
