Normally, yes, unless they've sold the mineral rights to others. Also, in addition to owning the land down to the center of the earth, the landowner owns the airspace to the stratosphere. |

This depends. Some people do- some people don't. Laws are different and ownership is different depending on where you live and how your title has been treated in the past. |

Actually no & I'm surprised that a couple of people said yes. I work with legal property descriptions daily & it usually describes the property and then says something like "with a minimum of 500 feet depth" or "except for all minerals, water, oil, etc.". No you don't own the earth to the center of it. |
