If i have been renting a home sence 1992 from the same man do i get equity in it?
when renting a property that i have paid two times the retail market value. is there any way to have equity?

Landlord
No, you are not entitled to anything at all. You are a renter, he is the owner. You could rent for 50 years and nothing would change.

You can NOT have equity in something you do NOT own. Why on earth are you paying two times the retail market on a place you don't nor never will own?

no. to get equity, you have to buy the place.

That's one of the hazards of renting. You've been there all these years lining the pockets of your landlord. He is the only one with any equity. He owns it

nope

If you would like to buy the house, call the landlord and ask how much he will sell the house to you for. He may want to sell after owning all this time. He may help you get financing and grant some credit toward down-payment to help you. I have in the past.

But he will sell it to you at today's price, not the 1992 price. If he helps you at all it would be a gift, not any requirement.
