No because they are his belongings!! He may come back for them!! If he says that he is not coming back for what he has left then yes you can keep them/sell them but probably best to get his permission first. |

If he also owes you rent, there is a period of time in which you can consider the items to be abandoned. Send him a certified letter, indicating when you expect the items to be moved. If he does not respond, the letter should stand up in court, that it was attempted by the post office.
Be sure to add any lost rent, storage fees and any other costs you incur. |

You would need to write him a letter stating that he has until a certain date to remove the items. If they haven't been collected by the deadline that you have given then you are free to dispose of them as you wish.
The same would apply for unsolicited goods sent to you by trader's. The onus is on them to collect the items or to pay you for the cost of returning them. |

Did he leave owing you money? If so, you may have the legal right to sell his property. |

If he has left no forwarding address, has not said when he will collect his stuff and owes you rent, I don't know what the legal situation is, but I think you'd be morally entitled to sell his stuff.
If you know where he is, and he owes you rent money, write and tell him you'll sell his stuff unless he pays up. Give a time limit, to give him a fair chance to pay you in money.
Remember - you are not his mother, and do not have to lovingly store his stuff free of charge till the end of time ! Good Luck |

Depends on how long it has been since he moved out, if it has been over at least 1-2 months then yea, i guess you can do whatever you feel like with them. |

Ask him/her for permission first. |

Absolutely NOT! Go to a lawyer first before you touch his personal property.
You are angry, but think if it were done to you. Do not even think about it. No No No...... |
