Most of the time- yes... but some landlords will include the electricity in your monthly rent.

Save up. You'll have other bills too, depending on where you live- gas, water, sewage, and my city even charges for trash pick-up...

Don't forget to figure in your other costs too- gas, groceries, house phone, cell phone, cable, internet, car insurance, car payments, etc...

Every landlord is different and has different rules for what bills you do and do not have to pay. In my experience the most common thing is for landlords to pay the water and sewer bill and nothing else, leaving you to pay electric and gas, cable, phone etc.

If you get into an apartment complex you may be able to get your heat paid for, which can be a big bonus.

Hope this helps...good luck!

Depends on what your lease is, it may be included. If you arnt sure call the rental office and ask them. Chances are your going to have to pay for them separate.

No heaven where I belong
I think it depends on whether utilities are included in the rent or not.

yes and more

Depending on the complex, you pay electric, phone on your own and they will bill you for water and trash.

If utilities are not included in your rent then yes. Not many places will include electricity in rent because it cost so much to run heat and air conditioning. You may also have to pay water and trash pick up as well.

I have lived in places that i do not have to pay the electrical bills. However i have also (and am currently) lived in a place where i did pay the electrical bills. Sometimes you also have to pay for trash removal, sewer, water, cable, and so on. it really depends on how the place you are living in is wired and piped.
