topceojoe | If you have a foreclosure, what r the chances the lender will report that foreclosure on ur credit report? |

Big daddy

100% unfortunately. If you walk away, I tend to agree with the poster, it may depend on state laws. Once the foreclosure is on there, it will remain for 7 years and you won't be able to get a loan for at least 2-3 years |
|

information indicating your foreclosure is listed on the top of your credit report and cannot be removed for approx 7 years, this notation will remain after your home is sold by the bank. |

I was in the same situation, did not pay 1 year my mortgage. Bank took 50% less on short sale. After short sale your credit will be fine after couple of months. But be carefull with bank and find good real estate agent - it is impotant. Contact me ,if need more info. Good luck. |

They will absolutely report it on your credit, 100%. If you are still in the house, maybe a third party might be able to help. http://www.H0MEASSURE.com is an option, there are others too.
With so many people in Foreclosure right now, it may be worth looking into all of your options with third parties. |

Assuming you mean the kind of foreclosure where you are behind on your payments and they have to kick you out, 100%.
If you mean the kind where you are current on your payments, give the bank the keys, and tell them you aren't going to make any more payments, it depends on the type of loan and the laws in your State.
Another way out is to short sell your house. If you can pull this off, you may get the difference between what you owe and what your house is worth forgiven, but you will have to sell your house. See the link below.
Note that for most people, getting out of debt is *way* more important than having good credit. So you may be focused on the wrong end of the problem. |
