You can have as many leases as you would like at one time, however if you break a lease you may have to pay penalties. Also submitt in writing, 30 days prior to moving, to cover your a**, if you plan to break the lease. |

Sure you can! But if I were you, I would wait till your current lease ends then go on a month-to-month!(Most places have this!) It makes things less difficult. Especially if you don't know where your moving too. That's what I'm planning on doing. |

Why would you want to renew your lease if you want to move out? You can doit, but it would be silly and costly. Focus on finding a new joint instead. |

You can sign new contract anytime you want to. When you sign a new contract, make sure the lease start at the date you will move in to new place. Make sure you are giving 30 day notice to your old landlord that you are move out. Actually this is very common practice. |

yes you can. You can also specify which date you want the lease to start from. If it over laps with the old lease you will have to pay rent for both properties, even if you've moved out of the old one. |
