Don't waste your time or your emotions looking at ones you know you can't afford. Look in the paper under rentals...what you see is what you get. I would look for something that was CLEAN and not gobbed up with someone elses tastes. Simple and clean!! Also, the area of town will make alot of difference on how much you can get from your buck.. good luck!! Enjoy being 19 and getting a 1st apartment...this will NEVER happen to you again!! ♥

craigslist.org is always a good place to search

Magnix2k
You're not going to find a $600/mo apartment in that area unless you roommate with someone.

Are you in school? You could look on the campus bulletin boards to see if anyone wants a roommate...

you should try just renting a room, it hink that would save you alot of money, at the same time you can save for an apartment you like.

or your can simply just find a roomate(s) and split the rent.

go to Rent.com and good luck. Cali is VERY expensive.

well check out the best real estate agents, but DONT SIGN A CONTRACT. just ask them to help you out and then leave before signing anything (to avoid copay)

then, you should be able to find something decent in ur budget!
