We have just been served our eviction notice, the baliffs have only given is 10 days to get out. Went to the council yesterday to sign for temporary accommodation, but the problem is, we have 3 dogs and they have no-where to go!
I cant afford kennels for them for the unknown time were in temp accommodation, its just too expensive! I've approached the RSPCA, to see if they can take them while were waiting for a permanent place, and they wont take them! I just cant bare to part with them, they are my life!
I viewed a house yesterday, private tenant, but they want a guarator, and I have no-one.. what can I do!! |

put a notice up in your local shop to see if anybody is willing to foster the dogs for you temporarily. some areas offer a fostering service for when people get taken into hospital etc.
if the dogs are a particular breed, you could approach the particular breed rescue centre nearest you + explain your predicament. google it + you should find it.
keep looking in paper for private lets, they don't all ask for guarantors. |

That's a tough one. What were you evicted for? That could make a difference in how long it takes you to find new accommodation. If you were bad tenants then it is unlikely you will be given another rental, especially as there is a scarcity of rental accommodation at the moment.
As for your dogs, I know how distressing this must be. I like the idea of temporary foster accommodation. Are you in Australia? What State? If you are go to petrescue.com.au - if you search for a dog in your particular area you will see the names of rescue groups (I think there might also be a rescue group index on the site). Many of these offer foster accommodation to abandoned dogs. If you contact one and explain that your dogs will become abandoned without their help maybe they can do something. As you've been paying to feed your dogs you should offer to pay your dogs' food and vet bills while they are in care. Do you have Internet access or a mobile phone? If you give these up you might have access to more money for boarding them.

just keep going to the council everyday and beg them and show them how much you need a house. Just try and turn up everyday, tell them how much you love the dogs and how you cant be without them. You need to keep in the minds of the people who will rehouse you, if they see you everyday then they should rehouse you quicker, forget about private tenant and demand a council house, dont take no for an answer and give it everything you have. |

Unfortunately, I'm soon to be in this situation too so I can completely understand - except that we only have one dog, and 2 people can look after him, but there's no way we would give him away - he's on of the family! You could ask a friend or family member to look after him, other than that I know the council don't have to house the dogs (damn them) I think kennels would be the only option.
Can no-one help? Have you tried other associations like the blue cross or pdsa? Or they Dogs trust?

Sorry love, but you sound like one of those people who prefer dogs to people. That can sometimes mean that you don't have much time for other people, including friends and family. And one day, you find that you need them after all.... |

most private landlords wont allow pets but 3 dogs are you mad. i guess your dogs have destroyed your last house or youve not paid your rent. either way i cant see a landlord taking you on unless you are prepared to live in a crap house that they cant rent.-------if you loose the dogs youll have a better chance--as a landlord myself i,d rather leave a house vacant than rent it to you. sorry to be so harsh but i see this sh*t every day and there are plenty of good tennants out there in front of you. why would anyone want to help you out?? |

Please be serious! Dogs are dogs, they are not human beings and they are NOT your children. This the really amasing thing people conuse with. OK, they need care but you can't say they mean everything to you. Surerly your accomedation should mean EVERYTHING to you. Do you not have friends and family? Maybe you could drop them by at friends and family. |
