Yes, just call the power company and tell them you want to get new service. It is really easy. |

really?
you call the provider & tell them you'd like service @ the new address...
if you've never had any service in your name, be prepaired to pay a deposit. they'll usually bill it out for you on the bill w/ the current charges. |

not a quote, just tell them you need the power turned on. They will probably need a deposit |

In some cities you can just sign up for it online. Find out the electricity provider in your area and see if they have a website. If you can't do it online then yes, you have to call. |

You call the local electric utility to establish service. They will likely require a deposit. |

You call the provider and tell them you want to arrange for new service - you don't ask for a quote, you pay what they tell you to pay. Service may be provided through a city public works, or a private company, you can google the name of the city and "utilities" and find that out. You'll probably have to pay a deposit because you don't have a history with them, but if you make your payments in a timely manner it will be refunded to you within a fixed period of time. |

Your new apartment complex managers know which companies service their buildings. Call them and ask who you get to choose from.
Then simply look at those companies and see who will give you the best deal.
Call the one you like best!
Hope this helps. Good Luck! |

You call the local electric company and tell them that you are moving in to (the address and apt. number) and would like to set up an account. |

They should have told you who the provider is when you rented the apartment. Otherwise - yeah, just start calling to see who the provider is, and go from there. |
