Is $1000 per month a lot for an apartment?

Additional Details
Its in West Hollywood.

I've never researched housing before EVER, but I suppose I better start.

I'm going to take a year off of school after my senior year, and I want to move to California to really just live life before going to college.

So, I was just wondering if you guys thought that was a lot.

Depends on how big it is, where it is, and if anything is included, i.e. utilities, etc?

That is about the vaguest question you could ask. If it is a penthouse in Manhattan, it is a steal. If it is an efficiency garage apartment in Pasadena Texas, then it is about 10 times too high.

DETAILS PLEASE.

Really all depends on the location. What the current rents are in the area. In california that is not a lot.
Best of luck in your search.

If you need to ask. The answer is = yes.
Find a cheaper place.
I don't even need to know the location.
The answer is = yes.

In the early 1970's I paid a $100.00 a month for a one bedroom furnished house in the back. I parked the car off-street next to the house. There was no A/C though.

healthspot_2000
no, that's a great deal!

Its a little high, but then again it is L.A. Another thing you should research is how you are going to pay rent. All landlords want you to make 3 times the rent (sometimes you can get away with 2.5 times though) And whatever you do, dont tell them you want to be an actress and you will pay them as soon as you get your first job as the lead in a major motion picture.

it better have 3 bedrooms and in a nice area and heat better be included for that price why pay that much for rent you might *** well get a house or condo the mortage is about a $1000 a month
