Irrespective of Christmas, there will always be people looking for a house. The whole world doesn't stop for Christmas - even if the shops/media like to think it does. You could try putting it on the market to get a feel of things. If you don't like it, you can always take your property off the market and put it back on sometime in the new year. It also depends on how marketable your property is. If your property/area is in huge demand then someone will come along.
If I was looking for a property, I wouldn't stop just because its Christmas. The only problem is that solicitors etc. break up for a fortnight at Christmas so it will slow down the sale process. |

I think you should wait till after Xmas. No one has time for anything else at Xmas everyone is way to busy. |

Between Thanksgiving and Christmas is a great time to BUY a house.
Sell later if you can wait. |

It is a buyers market right now. If you don't have to sell then I would not. You should wait at least a year till the market becomes more balanced. |

You can always stick a sign in the yard. But you probaly won't get any offers until after the Holidays. Good Luck! |

The real estate market always slows down in the winter, wait until spring or even summer if you can, you will probably get more visits due to the better weather. |

Now is not a good time to sell. Xmas is just around the corner and gardens always look their best in April/May. Buying a house is always more appealing in the warmer sunnier months. However if you are buying you will be in a stronger position for just the same reasons. |

Put it on the market early next year. People like to move after the holidays. Trying to sell a home right now is not smart because everyone is preparing for Thanksgiving,Christmas and New Years at their current residence. Plus, no one wants to come out of pocket during the holidays. All money is accounted for.
Also, you will get tax credit for your home if you wait. |

I was thinking the same but a friend told me that before xmas no one is really goign to part with their money and I would just get those people going out to waste some time on the weekends. So after hearing that I'm waiting till March. |

sell in January,
People wait until after Christmas (for the kids) before deciding to get divorced, so loads of people will be looking for houses then and you'll get the best price. |

Wait till easter. The buyers wake up then and the gardens start to help sell the property. |
