they can only bug him into paying, not order him to pay...take him to court and sue him first...if its alot of money, sue using a lawyer, if not use the small claims court..($3000 or less). Good luck to you.

A collection ANGENCY will take at least 10% of the debt they collect. However, the circumstances under which the obligation has occured must be thoroughly accurate and provable in law. You could go to small claims court but you have to have him served by either a Marshall or an independant person not directly associated with you the business or your partner. the service must be registered in the court. Ther is a limit to the amount that you can collect in a small claims court however. I think it is $5000.00
You must have proof of your claim no matter what option you take. You cannot go waltzing in and say someone owes you money if you have no legal documents to prove your valid claim.

Yes it's a good ideal because if you help someone then they should do what they say. If there's no way they can't pay you back then they have to talk to you to keep you updated on there situation so you can know.

The best way to get your money is to have a real attorney send him a collection notice on the attorney's letterhead.

could be a good idea to have someone go after them to get your money back just make sure they use legal practices when debt collecting

a collection agency will keep a percentage of what they collect for you. what you need to do is sue him. if he still does not pay you can have him arrested.
