Ok it happend on a college campus about 6 years ago in WV. I go to school at that campus. Do the students living in that room have a right to know, even if they dont ask? |

Don't think that's covered under 'full disclosure' rules. Structural damage; water damage; flooding; sewage back-up; pending liens; etc etc etc. Don't believe disclosure covers 'ghosts' haunting; suicides; etc. why so worried? |

Generally, no. Such disclosures are only required if the suicide or murder caused damages to the property which had to be repaired due to same.
You are referring to a 'stigmatized property', and disclosure requirements vary by locale. Most do not require disclosure. |

Depends on your state.
In California, a death because of "natural causes" (old age or illness) doesn't have to be disclosed. Murder, suicide, etc. must be disclosed, if it happened within 2 years prior to the sale.

What state? It depends on where you live, some states yes they must tell you, some only if you ask, and some not at all. Keep in mind that if a home is older there is a chance someone may have passed in it. But then again, do you ask if someone died in every place you rent? And often suicides don't list as such in the public forums (obits, papers, etc) so that can be tought to determine. |

no they do not have to tell you that....they will fill out a form honestly regarding the structure of the house as in fire, water damage, the working conditions of the house itself..they do not have to dislcose to you if someone died in the house..it has nothing to do with the house being structually sound |

Most states in the US require the disclosure if it occurred within the last 5 years, and it is known to the agent/seller. Of course someone also has to ask, if you don't ask they do not have to volunteer that information. |
