if only to never cut grass again, I will never rent or buy another house. If I did buy I would buy a condo where the view is nice and the ground is concrete. |

Being the house is normally larger than an apartment the utility bills will be higher...especially heat, and AC. |

Do the house have a garrage a yard a storage place does it have a balcony. Do u have to pay for parking at the apartment? A house would be better |

Rent a house. Apartments always come with close neighbors with noise and smells, shared utilities, assigned parking places, and limits on throwing out rubbish. If you have pets and/or kids, it's best for everyone to rent the house. |

Buying is a way to build equity (it's a fancy word for saving money) except it is a lot more work, including fixing stuff and you have more bills like garbage pickup, water, and property taxes.
Renting is not a bad option if you don't want the hassle of owning, and are not as interested in owning for the purpose of building wealth because you are building wealth in other ways. |

They never cost the same unless the landlord is paying for weekly mowing, landscaping and watering the yard. In any case....go with the house. |

The house will have more privacy and quiet, since you won't be sharing walls or have neighbors above or below you. Apartments often come with some bills paid though. Personally, I would prefer the house if the rent was very close to the same. The advantages are worth the extra bills. |

It depends on many factors. If you own a dog definitely get a house. If you have to maintain the yard yourself get an apartment. That is unless you like being a slave to a yard of a home that you don't own. You do get a lot more privacy in a home and don't have to climb stairs with an arm load of groceries. Check out other costs besides rent like trash removal, water, water, sewer, and trash. |

They both have some pros and cons.
House pros - Its usually big and if u buy it than you are becoming a owner of it slowly and not wasting ur money, more rooms.
House cons - You gotta pay for cutting grass or gotta cut yourself, more stuff u have to do
Apartment pros - You get more facilities
cons - You dont own it u just pay to live in it, too small |

That really depends on you and how much you are willing to do for yourself. In apartment living there is usually no lawn mowing, snow shoveling, gardening etc whereas with a house those things will be your responsibility. |

Do you want to fix the toilets and mow? Get a house, no neighbors banging on the celiing.
If you don't do maintenance and want a reasonable deposit fee, rent an apartment.
If you can, BUY a house. You can get a mortgage payment the same as a lot of apts now, and build equity you can borrow against if you need to plus it's YOURS |

Location, location, location. If the rents are the same, live where you choose. |

a house for sure. no one upstairs, downstairs, behind the walls...no weird smells or sounds or pounding or barking dog in the next apt. |

depends on what you want to deal with.
a house has less neighbors and more space but you have to cut the grass or shovel.
an apartment will cut the grass and shovel for you. but you have a ton of neighbors and less space.
its all about what you wanna deal with. i'd go for the house. |

It all depends, some houses you have to do yard work and bring your own washer and dryer. The utilities may also cost more living in a house. |

Better to buy a house, payments are nearly the same as rent. If your stuck renting check out the neighborhoods. Houses are often quieter than apartments but make sure you have a landlord available for things that will meed fixing since you won't have an apartment manager. |

Well untilities will probably cost more for a house, because apartments are usually easier to heat and cool. Of course with a house noisy neighbors are less of a problem and you do get your own yard, Plus you get more privacy and if you have a dirveway a guarnteed parking place. Pets are usually easier to deal with in a house than an apartment to, if that is an issue for you. |

I"m sure someone will give a long explanation but the simplest reason is privacy. with a house, you have some control over noise (both yours and your neighbors) as well as some breathing room (ie a yard). the downside is ususally you are responsible for keeping the yard taken care of while the apartment does everything for you. If it's the same money and you can't afford or just aren't ready to buy, definitely go with the house (usually more room/storage too) |

A house you will have to keep the yard up and heat or cooling a house cost more as well.
An apt. the grounds are already cared for and the utilities sometimes are included.
It just depends on you and if your will to do all that to live in a bigger place with a more private setting. |

I'd rent the house. The upsides are..
If something breaks, it's the landlords responsibility to fix it, well, unless YOU broke it. There are no noisey neighbors banging on walls and stomping on floors. You don't have to fight for parking. You can have parties and not get complaints unless your music is too loud. You don't have to tip toe around at late hours. More space, a yard. The down side is that utilities are more often included in rent in an apartment but not a house so the rents may be close to the same but you should find out if that includes utilities. I've lived in apartments and now a condo that I own and I'm getting tired of noisy neighbors. I'd take the house. |
