Is it possible to buy a house in the USA and living in Australia?
Additional Details I traveled to the USA in September last year and loved it.
I would love to buy a home and to spend 3 months of the year there.
Would ther be any compications?
What are the laws ?
You can buy as many as you want, without restriction as you are buying from private owners.
A complication might be that you will be restricted on financing. Most US banks and mortgage companies only lend to US citizens or Permanent resident aliens. If you have cash - no issue. If you plan on financing, find a source first either through an Australian bank (which they may have problems with the collateral in case of default), or start a search through a good mortgage broker for a lender that will work with you.

U can buy property there if u have dollars with u..

Yes. It is merely complicated by distance. George Bush has lowered the USA to being a quaint second-rate country where people in countries with more vibrant economies keep second houses
Kansas Girl
Yes.

With credit all things are possible (good credit). lol

Of course this is possible as long as you pay your monthly taxes and keep up your mortgage. my parents are not even US citizens and own 2 houses for over 20 years

It would be best to stay with your girl/wife/or whatever. U dont need to buy a house just pay hers off and you two can live happily ever after.
