Have your mom, dad, or anyone you can trust to rent it out on their name, but have you listed as a co-tenant. Course, if you had failed to live up on your last contractual agreement, they're risking their good name. If you default on your payment obligations, its their name that gets a bad rating. |

Yes -- they'll just charge you a VERY LARGE deposit. |
|

Yes, you can. It usually takes a whopping deposit though. |

Yes you can, but with a HUGE deposit. My suggestion would be to suck it up, pay the deposit, and prove to your landlord that you're worthy of renting. Make all your payments promptly and keep your apartment neat and tidy! Good luck! =] |

You can find a place through a private landlord they usually don't do credit checks. If they ask for a reference give them a friends phone number. (Tell the friend!) They usually won't call anyways. Drive around a neighborhood and look for the For Rent sign, those places are your best bets. |

If you were a landlord would you want to rent to someone that was such a horrible tenant that they had to be evicted.
You probably don't know this but evictions are VERY expensive for property owners. VERY EXPENSIVE.
I own a 4 plex & would NEVER rent to someone with an eviction or bad credit. (even if they offered 6 months or a year deposit!)
It's called being "responsible" and obviously people who don't pay their debts are irresponsible. |

Yes, but it's difficult and expensive.
You may be better off trying to rent a house, or duplex. Those are typically run by individuals that don't have the time to run proper credit reports.
AND - If it's not on the application, DON'T offer up the fact that you were evicted. |

Seeing as most states limit the amount that a landlord can collect for a security deposit, you are going to have a hard time.
The only way that I would accept a tenant with an eviction would be with a co-signer with long term stable employment and personal property on which a lien can be placed if the tenant defaults. |

Yes it is possible. You will get denied a lot, but many landlords want a large deposit if you have an eviction. Try private landlords like a mom & pop landlord. They may not be as hard on you, but most times they will require an extra deposit if they decide to give you the apartment. I would keep at least 4 months rent saved up before you apply to places. Money talks.
Sometimes bad things happen to good people-some landlords will acknowledge this and take a chance with you.
Good Luck! |
