No, my last house was haunted. |

I was worried about this too. We actually ended up buying a house from 1769, so I still get creeped walking around at night. It's been 2 years and no ghost sightings yet.
This could just be some sort of urban legend, but I think that this is something that needs to be disclosed if the prior owner knows about it.
Good Luck and happy house hunting! |

not all houses that are haunted are ment to harm you or put you in fear. |

Probably not what the majority of people consider when buying a house but I wouldn't say it's really weird. Under the assumption that you believe in hauntings then it only naturally follows that you would worry about such things when purchasing your own home. |

I thinks its a little weird yea but who in the world isnt weird in their own way! Some things do need to be disclosed when you buy a home though such as if the owner know someone has been murdered there in the last couple years and things like that. Not sure if that helps you or not but I know I would want to know that!
As to the comment below about your realtor by law having to tell you about stigmata.. whatever it says its not true. You are going to run your agents off by expecting that of them. Realtors typically dont know any more about the history of a house than you do the only thing that we (im a realtor myself) need to disclose are anything that we know about a home and even then the lines of what we need to disclose about things like this are minimal since "haunted houses" are not something that is generaly proven. Like I said if someone has been murdered in the last couple years it should be disclosed and you should know but aside from that the only thing I can do is wish you luck!
Oh and btw I have heard a ghost or something in my house.. it is kind of freaky. |

NO it is NOT!!!!! I grew up in a haunted house. Geographic location and past history of the land and the area , I believe, have much to do with it. I ALWAYS pray before I move, "Please dont let me move into a haunted house or apartment or living space." and it works. I never have since. |

a little weird. don't be scared about a haunted house. monsters and things are fake and you may "see" something but really you are just imagining it. so forget your worries and try to explore and be excited about this old mysterious house. it could be an adventure! |

Tehehe, its because you watch those "Perfect House, Ah! A Ghost" type shows.
I mean, I'm a believer in supernatural happenings, but I wouldn't push it so far as to worry about it when buying a house.
The only real thing to be worried about would be if you bought a house with a poltergeist in it, instead of just a regular ghost!
A lot of real estate places are doing weekend stays at homes now, so if you're comfortable with it, see if you can spend a weekend in a home that you like and if it goes well, then it goes well.
New houses typically don't have the "Haunt Factor", as to where older ones do, but don't let that push you from buying your dream home.

No I lived in a very haunted house 20 years ago in FL. It made those pictures that you see on TV like the haunting program seem mild! I saw beedy RED eyes looking at me from the outside (that was the final straw that scared me so bad I moved the next day!) and also everyday the entire contents of my bookshelves were in the middle of my living room (I lived alone) my yard was actually more haunted than the house. I heard and my neighbors heard, drumbeats at night, the house was near a river where Indians used to live. I moved out too and left all my stuff...I have not lived in a house like that since. Dont know who moved in after me or what happened after that. I was a total disbeliever until I lived it. and I wasnt drinking or on drugs either! |

Not at all, im a very supersticious person. And my dad's house is haunted. Not like: "oooooo! im a ghost!!" But like you hear people talking when its quiet, and you just feel like someones sitting right by you, and when i was sittin on my couch once, I was the only one home, i saw something peak out from around the corner but only for a split second, and there was like a little black fog there, and i heard something. My moms house isnt like that luckily. |

No it's not weird. It happens to people all the time. One BIG tell tale sign is a steal of a deal as compared to the rest of the market. Another is if you go to view the house and it looks as if the folks who used to live there just ran out and left EVERYTHING right where it was. |

No I don't think you should worry but it's definitely not weird.
My mom has lived in many haunted houses. Lots of stories from them too. Not all "spirits" "ghosts" or whatever you want to call them are bad. I live in one now actually. |

Beware! Beware! OoooH! The wages of sin! We all know where we go from there! To the house of pain! |

I never would think of that. Do you have reason to think of something like that. We always get our house blessed by a priest and I just taught it was something special to bring God's blessings. When I was a little girl my parents told me of some incidents that happened in one of the houses we lived in and that was spooky but they gave me a reason for it and that was it. |

I don't think it's weird, it's just that most people don't worry about it. But your Realtor (if you ask) by law has to tell you of any stigmata associated with your new residence. |
