greenmop7 | Is it wrong to make an offer on the first house we looked at? |
We want to make an offer on the first house we walked through. We saw one after that but did not like. We have been looking at houses on the internet for months but just got the cash to buy one. I made a list of "must haves" and "perks" and this house has all the must haves plus TONS of perks. It is on 2.5 wooded acres and we are in love. Is it crazy to buy the first house you look at? I cant see us finding a house better since this one has everything we want and is a great price. |

If you like it, go for it. The house i live in is the 2nd house we looked at. We made an offer on the first one but lost it. This house is way better. If its meant to be, it will all work out. We looked at this house and got a loan and closed on it, all within 30 days. We were moved in the day after closing. It was all rushed, and i wouldnt have had it any other way. I love my house now (2 yrs later) just as much as i did the first time we walked through it. Good luck. |

When you lose your keys, do you keep looking after you find them? Go for it, you found what you were looking for. |

I have sold thousands of homes. Thousands. Most every buyer after they purchased a home wish they found the one they loved right from the beginning.
The big issue here is making sure that it really is a good deal, or at least at fair market value. Your agent should be able to assist you in value. If you don't have an agent, then make sure you hire an attorney to handle the deal for you so that you are protected. Don't go into this large purchase without assistance.
With that said, buy it and consider yourself blessed.

Location, Location, Location! If you like the home go for it AFTER doing a comparative market analysis, determining if it is in a desire able living area and if any future development or commercial zoning is possible near the home. |

No--the key is that you love the house and want to live in it. It doesn't matter if it's the first one you looked at or the twentieth--if it feels good, go for it. You say the price is right, which just cements the decision. Trust your instincts in this--sounds like you got really lucky! |

Okay to make an offer, but I still suggest you eye-ball a few more comparable properties just to make certain. Sort of a double check on your judgement. |

First house looked at, first loan offered here :)
Sometimes things just happen right. If it matches all your must haves and perks, and you've already seen another that you don't like, then chances are you're lucky. Sounds as though you've done your research so go for it! |

Congratulations!
You didn't spend countless dissapointing hours and hundreds of dollars in gas money looking at junk houses.
Many people spend months before they find the one that gives them the "HAPPY" feeling in their stomachs.
If you're happy go for it.
I think it's great.
If you need financing let me know, otherwise start packing! |
