If it is your home, it should not matter, unless you plan to move soon. Yes, it may drop more in value, and it will again rise in value. So far it has gone down very little compared to many other homes in other areas. If you bought it as speculation, you are losing money, but if you bought it as your personal residence its market value is not relevant as long as you plan to live there. You have comfortable shelter, which is why you bought it. Enjoy your lovely home and stop worrying. |

here in SD the values have been going down avg $10,000 a month
in dec they dropped by $20,000
i think there will be another huge drop through 2008

Depends on the market in Reno. Depends on if you paid to much for the home to begin with. I'd say chances are it could go down, seeing how the economy is right now, but it should go back up in the future or at least maintain the value it has now. Kind of a wishy-washy answer, but with the way things are right now, who really knows. |
