Month to Month is a higher rate because the landlord is unsure how long they can receive income from your unit. So a lease term guarantees them a specific amount of income. It is all about income to the property. M-T-M provides the tenant with the flexibility to be able to move out on short notice, but harder on the pocketbook. Rates are what they are because similar properties that have similar square footages charge similar rates (In Your Area). That is what the market will bear. (What other properties are charging for the same unit.)

Yes it is too much. I live with roommates in Arizona and the rent for a 3 bedroom is $934. And our apt is pretty big for a 3 bedroom. In Az. you can find a 1 bedroom for as low as $435 a month, there isnt a catch. After your lease is up, you can either re-new the lease and pay the same amount, or just move to another apt. And the 1 bedrooms come with dish washers, washer and dryer, and its spacious!! Your getting ripped off! Good luck in finding that perfect apt! |

No, that price is not ridiculous unless it is a dump. I lived in Kirkland WA for a few years and I was paying $900... If $675 will stretch your budget, then start looking for a two bedroom, and rent the other room hopefully to someone you know. Or the other option would be to look through classifieds to find a room for rent. Craig’s list works well for that kind of stuff… (www.craigslist.com) Good luck |
