I live in Goldilocks's dream house. It's not too far and not too close. It's just right.
Of course, God placed me between the two best neighbors a family could dream of, so that makes it all so.
Our lot is about a quarter of an acre (a bit less) and a little pie shaped - Big back yard for the kids to play, small front yard for me to make presentable (how nice is that!) The house on the left is about ten feet from our house, and the house on the right is about 40 feet away. Our back fence is about 120 feet from the next back fence.
We have fenced in yards in our subdivision, but with the great neighbors I have, it would be OK with me to take them down. |

We live on a .3 acre lot on a corner, with trees separating us from the people behind us, but we share a fenceline with the people to the side. We have a lot more space than some suburbs where your driveway is the only thing that separates your house from your neighbor, but after growing up out in the country on 10 acres surrounded by woods and half a mile from the nearest house, we are a little closer than I would like. It sure beats living in military base housing though, which is where we moved from, sharing walls with other people. |

I live at the end of a dead end road, neighbors are fairly close, but not close enough to tell what I'm cooking for dinner. They are all nice people, so it is just fine. The rental next door has been vacant for months, so that is great! |
